What exactly is a book coach?

Hell if I know. I call it book coaching because "book doula" sounded too visceral and the double-gerunded "writing coaching" made my jaw clench. 

What does a book coach do?

By way of answering this question I'm going to first describe the difference between a book coach and an editor, as I see it.

An editor provides structural or line-edits on a finished manuscript. They are there to be on the side of the work.

What happens if I can't show up for a session?

Writers will receive a reminder email a few days before each session. You can reschedule up to 24 hours before or else forfeit the call. I cannot provide refunds or credit for no-shows or late cancellations.
